HERITAGE

Wine making is and old tradition in Argentina.

Since the arrival of Europeans to South America hundreds of years ago, the production of wine in different forms has been part of the culinary culture of this region

France, Italy and Spain, lead the impact in the evolution of Argentinas, wine industriy.

However, along the years we have developed our own identity in wine making as well as our own flavors, aromas and colors in wine.

This is a result of mixing European traditions with our local culture and natural resources, thus making Argentina wines unique.

Casa Ereaux captures the essence of Argentina's golden era, where tradition and modernity meet in our wines.

OUR VINEYARD

Located in Mendoza, Argentina, our 100 hectares vineyard produces high quality grapes at 900 meters above the sea level.

The Andes Mountains and dry climate make and exceptional environment for producing special wines.

The stony soil and immense range of temperature make it an ideal place for wroing strong vines with nutritive and tasty grapes

Irrigation is done with snow-melt water from the Andes Mountains, a pumping system gets this underground water and drops it slowly and carefully to our old vines.

We take care of our vines all year long.

Our priority is to achieve high quality grapes.

Our harvest takes place during February and March, this process is called "vendimia" and is one of the busiest and most important throughout the year. This "vendimia" is done by hand, followed by a careful selection of the best grapes.

Our terroir

The lack of humidity and rains throughout the year, produce a special environment for growing strong vines with healthy grapes.

The soil is rocky with a reduced amount of organic matter and good drainage rates in summer.

The temperature range is very wide. With strong sunlight and heat during the day and cold at night, grapes reach an exceptional balance between acidity and sweetness, making them ideal for winemaking.

Mendoza is the most important wine area in Argentina, and one of the main producers of the world.

SPECIALTY WINES

Our winery specializes in a variety of wines:

Cabernet Franc is our disctintive varietal, and we also produce Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
